The Rat Rod Bike

I stripped down the old rollfast bike I bought a few weeks ago and washed and greased all the bearings.  (there was more than a little sand in the crank.  I re-assembled the bike and added a new stem with a straight bar.  Now I am trying to decide whether I blast and powder coat the whole thing, or leave it as kind of a rat.  I have become a little attached to the rollfast sticker on the vertical tube, and would hate to lose that.  On the other hand a flat black frame with a flat white fork/bar/and crank would look pretty good.  Decisions......

rusty chain for character? or am i just being cheap?

really having fun with the coaster brake- just like my old huffy bmx!

can't see the fork because it's so thin..scary

Custom motored bikes

I just discovered this web site- the company is based here in Milwaukee.  It looks like they stock the motors and all the parts.  This might have to be one of my next projects.....maybe.  Pretty cool though- and cheap.  I'm sure its all overseas parts.....

New project bike!

I just bought an old Rollfast single speed bike with a coaster brake. The plan is to blast the frame and powder coat. I'm hoping to find another donor bike for parts. I'm thinking dark green with all black components. We'll see....
