old rail bridge

i went down to my thesis site on friday and got some pretty cool pictures of an old railroad bridge that is right next to my site.  my thesis project is an industrial history museum so the materials and tectonics of the bridge were very inspiring!

Andy's car

this is a car I am making for my friend andy's kid who is in what i think is called a pine box derby.  I downloaded a 3d rhino model of an audi a4 and stretched it to fit the required shape....it kinda still resembles an audi...maybe.

Making parametric components with a rigged up toaster oven

we are in the middle of production time for our scripted wall.  we have only 1100 pieces to make.....so far 400 done.  This is the melting oven I made- it was a pizza oven, but I removed the lower burner and created a second oven.  Works pretty good!

more single speed project

Last week Frankie and I sandblasted and powder coated some bike frames.  This was an older Fuji Trill mountain bike that I had recently converted to a single speed.  We powder coated the frame flat orange and the fork, stem, handlebars, and crank arms a flat black.  The best thing about powder coating is we were able to put the bike back together right away- Matt stuck around and helped me get the bike put back together that night.  Just going to swap out the seat and get a new seatpost and I am done! for now.
